Segment is a growing agency startup focused on SEO. We are seeking a full-time, digital-savvy SEO Specialist to join our team. The Specialist will analyze client website data, monitor keyword rankings, develop client reports, and regularly optimize client websites for maximum performance. To excel in this role, you should be digital-savvy, well-versed in current SEO methodologies and tools, and possess excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client websites to evaluate performance.
- Monitor client websites and resolve technical and non-technical SEO issues.
- Conduct ongoing keyword research, discovery, expansion, and optimization.
- Research and implement search engine optimization strategies on client websites.
- Analyze competitor content and backlinks.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies.
- Optimize website copy and landing pages for search engine performance.
- Conduct in-depth SEO audits to uncover website strengths and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with clients to implement SEO recommendations and best practices.
- Create clear, data-driven reports that clients can easily measure and understand.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in SEO or a similar digital marketing role; agency or corporate marketing experience is a plus.
- Proven SEO experience with a track record of growing organic search traffic and conversions.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow).
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in SEO and inbound marketing.
- Expertise in tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and other analytics platforms.
- Proficiency in SEO management software, including Ahrefs, SpyFu, SEMrush, SE Ranking and Screaming Frog.
- Solid knowledge of On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.
- Experience in link-building outreach and development.
- Familiarity with keyword research and SEO management tools.
- Understanding of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and optimization practices.
- Strong creative, strategic, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
